At 80 Sylvia wasn’t too old to come along to cookery classes. As a great believer in lifelong teaching and learning; I admired Sylvia.

Many older people are unable to get around; Sylvia’s one of the inspiring few.

One of the barriers in old age is good mobility.
Shopping online is an option for older tech savvy people like Sylvia and perhaps those not very mobile.

Keeping a great pantry is effort and knowing where to get essential items to sustain good health is key to success.

Good food is relevant at all stages of life and no less in the latter days.

Unless a special diet is ordered by a medical doctor or healthcare professional, it is advisable to keep a good stock of staples with plenty of whole grains, consume moderate animal proteins, eat small amount of fats and plenty of fruit and vegetables

Tins of quality food will serve you well in winter and wet autumnal  days.

Cooking may be a barrier for some. Searching for good quality ready meals to keep in cold storage or freezer is a good idea. Learning to identify what’s in the food will serve you well.

Tell friends and family what food you want and put these on your shopping list.

Always take advise from medical or health care professional before embarking on new food ventures. Keep well and enjoy yourself with friends and family. Remember Sylvia.
